Nest Rainforest Retreat

Nestled in the Chagres National park, in the heights of the mountains, The Nest Rain Forest Retreat offers affordable accommodation only 45 min from Panama City and Tocumen International airport. Here you can escape the heat of the city and find breath-taking views of the forest valley and pacific ocean. The beautiful natural surroundings in the area offer several hiking trails and attractions including waterfalls, natural pools, lookout points and picnic areas.

The Nest offers multiple dorm-style bedrooms in various sizes ranging from 3 to 8 beds per room. The facilities also provide a bathroom boasting hot water (yes hot water is a thing in Panama), a basically equipped kitchen that will allow for self catering meal preparation and communal dining and lounging areas. In the small courtyard you will find a barbeque facility as well as additional outside seating where you can enjoy the cooler weather of the mountain, the forest and birdlife.

While we offer a number of services to make your stay comfortable such as Wi-Fi, a convenience tuc shop and guided trips and hikes, the surrounding community also provides a few restaurants as well as a weekend market where you will find artisanal items and a variety of culinary offerings.

As the facility is located inside a National Park there are additional and strictly enforced codes of conduct in order to preserve the natural beauty and wildlife as well as tranquility of the area.

Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
