Our friendly staff, intimate setting ,ensuite rooms with air conditioning, and a central location all contribute to this being one of the top rated hostels on Hostelworld for years. After a day of exploring, or before your big night out, you can enjoy some cheap drinks in our Rendez-Vous Bar. Our staff know the city well, and can give you advice for the best food, poutine, breweries, or places to watch the hockey game. We also offer a free breakfast every morning, with waffles, eggs, fresh fruit, baked goods and coffee, tea and juices.

Good value for money, great location, provided breakfast was varied and tasty. Good spot if all you need is somewhere to lay your Beds were all SUPER squeaky though, and my top bunk mattress was bowed in very badly. Bathroom was decently clean for an 8 bed mixed dorm. Our window was beside an outside area where people were going to smoke late nights and that noise came through the window very loudly, but that was just that one room. Earplugs mostly blocked out any noise.

Samesun exceeded my expectations. It's location 2 minutes from Berri is really useful if you're looking to get around Montreal on public transport. The free breakfast was a nice bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and always clean. The bathroom was cleaned regularly but having 8 people use 1 bathroom sometimes led to a wait. Atmosphere was chilled but not too many backpackers if you're looking to meet other people.
I returned to stay in Samesun as I liked it so much.
