Waiheke Backpackers Hostel provides an amazing location and great value for money – just 40 minutes from downtown Auckland, New Zealand. It’s your very own piece of paradise - located above Onetangi Beach with stunning sea views.
Wake up to the sound of the seagulls or tui and head down the hill for a walk or run along Onetangi Beach. End up at a local beachside café, restaurant or shop for refreshments or a meal. Enjoy a stroll to a number of Waiheke Island vineyards.
We have comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a BBQ deck and a huge lawn overlooking the ocean.
*Please note that under the current COVID-19 Protection Framework a Vaccine Pass is required for all guests over the age of 12 years & 3 months.

Amazing place, staff are wonderful and would do practically anything for ya - super accommodating. It is a bit of a hike up the hill (I only struggled because I had a suitcase not a pack) but the stairs through the bush make it so much easier. Supermarket and amazing restaurants are only a stroll away. Would recommend to anyone!!!

Nice staff, good sized kitchen, about what you'd expect for the price, couldn't use the washing machines as we're all being used for the bedding, overall pretty clean, a long ol walk up 180 steps, so make sure you're ready 😆

Such a lovely staff.
Specially A, that Belgian girl whose name I always forget (sorry you're really lovely!). There was one stunning lady, she kind of looks like the boss, but she didn't feel comfortable with that role maybe?
Don't know. Doesn't matter.
Just like the rest of the staff they would go out of their way to really make everyone feel comfortable.
Thanks @website for giving 1 option for a travel.
