A solid stay for a visit to New Plymouth. The lady on reception is delightful! Good atmosphere, I made friends here and we explored the town together. It's a bit of a walk from the centre but you can walk beside the river. Well equipped kitchen, ask Lynn politely if you need anything such as extra WiFi.

I stayed here with my cousin who is visiting from Ireland and we both loved it! The woman who runs it is delightful, the place is immaculate, and the birds, lush gardens and bubbling river nearby, make it an altogether pleasant stay. Haven't used a hostel for over 20 years and this came out tops! Highly recommend.

One of the rooms you sold us was already sold so we had to sleep in a confined bunk room which really smelt bad. My female partner had to sleep in this stinking room with adolescent boys, not cool.
The lady in reception was very unhelpful and quite rude, even suggesting we go buy tents from the Warehouse and camp if we’re not happy with the rooms.
Altogether a very bad experience.
