MuchoMadrid has spacious rooms right on Gran V?a in the centre of Madrid, close to the opera house, the Royal Palace and Puerta del Sol. Many Hostelworld visitors have said their favourite feature of this hostel is its location ?in the middle of a major part of Madrid?, within walking distance of popular bars and clubs where ?both tourists and locals hang out?. Reviews have also praised the friendly staff for being ?super helpful and encouraging us to go out. [They] even printed out a list in English of things we can do?.

We stayed in the twin ensuite, which is quite a small room. The biggest disappointment for price was the ensuite. Shower-head placement was ridiculous - it shoots water over your head. You are not allowed to flush toilet paper down the toilet, instead having to throw in bin. This made the already smelly bathroom stink. There was no cleaning. Everything else was okay but not incredible - bed, kitchen, location, staff. Walls were thin. This was our least favourite hostel experience in Europe.

Perfect hostel if you're looking for a quiet, affordable and clean place to stay.
Spacious rooms with few beds. Clean, peaceful. Good kitchen, helpful staff.

Very well located hostel, walking distance from main points in the city. It's quite odd though that it is inside an office building, it doesn't really has the "hostel" vibe you may expect. In the rooms the bed were quite close to each other, they had a heater and AC though. Overall for spending one night is okay.

In our hostel we treat our guests like we would like to be treated. We create a homely atmosphere and with our friendly staff we intend to take our time to answer every question our guests might have, to help them with everything that they ask if we're able to. For instance, in our hostel, towels, computer access, Wi-fi, private lockers and printing services are always free. We don't have a curfew - every guest has their own keys to go in and out at any time. Our guests also have full access to the kitchen in order to prepare lunch or dinner. We're ideal for groups of friends or lonely travellers interested in exploring Madrid from the city centre. We're close to Plaza de España, Puerta del Sol, Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, Plaza Mayor and many others. Personally, I recommend people visit the Parque Retiro.
