Comprising 4 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a reception room, decorated with a typical wood oven and a rural fireplace, this accommodation, surrounded by the Caramulo and Arada Mountains, is synonymous with peace and comfort. The House also has a private patio, ideal for warmer nights and for those who like to watch the stars.

Set in a late 19th-century building made of granite, Casa de Igarei is a refurbished guest house located 15 km from Viseu city center. It features a rustic style throughout.
Inserted in a rural village, where tradition and old customs are still very much rooted, Casa de Igarei provides its guests with unique moments, through greater contact with nature. It was following this line of thought that its rooms were named after the natural elements that surround us, in this case, plants.

Giesta, known as the Portuguese broom, is a bushy plant with white or yellow flowers.

Alecrim is an aromatic herb widely used in Portuguese gastronomy and quite characteristic in our country.

Esteva is often used by the perfume industry to fix scents, the Esteva is a very common flower in our region.

Rosmaninho is a typical herb of the Mediterranean region, rosemary is known for its pleasant aroma and lilac color.

All rooms are equipped with a double bed, private bathroom, LCD TV, and free wi-fi access.

Each air-conditioned room at Casa de Igarei has a private bathroom with either a bath or a shower. Some offer mountain views; they all have parquet floors and an exposed stone wall.
Guests can lounge in the shared living room with sofas and a TV. The kitchen has a wood-burning stove and other appliances guests can use to prepare their meals.
Casa de Igarei provides free rental bicycles for guests’ use. When the rainy days come, billiards and darts are a nice option to stay indoors.

2. The “Casas de Igarei” website is aimed at users aged 18 or over. In this sense, this accommodation unit assumes that the user is of legal age to enter into the contract that relates to these terms.

3. The prices charged by “Casas de Igarei” can be found on the website, and on the page of the respective services. These prices already include legally due taxes, such as VAT at the legal rate (6%).

4. At the time of booking, the user will be asked for a deposit of 20% of the total amount payable. In case of cancellation of the reservation up to 10 days before the date, the amount will be refunded in full. If this communication is made after the established deadline or in case of a no-show, the deposited amount will not be refunded. In case of cancellation of the reservation in unavoidable situations and of force majeure, duly justified, the amount paid will be refunded in full.

5. The client must check in at the accommodation chosen between 17:00 and 20:00 on the day of entry. Upon departure, the room must be vacated, of people and goods, by 12:00.

6. The accommodation unit “Casas de Igarei” authorizes the entry of pets, being necessary to inform the management in advance.

7. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside houses and rooms.

8. The “Casas de Igarei” accommodation unit offers free private parking for guests.
