Backpackers Hostel was founded 30 years ago. Nestled in residential neighbourhood away from the city. It's is thought for the budget minded traveller. Backpackers & Vacation Inns We offer a variety of types of rooms from dorm to private bedrooms to private suites.
The hostel is located on Hawaiian island Oahu Specifically North Shore, surrounded by lots of beaches and greenery. Plantation Village is made up of historic cabins literally across street from beach.
We have variety of types dorms,private bedrooms in shared house and private studios facing the ocean. Dorm cabins sleep for 6 persons that have own bathrooms and kitchen. The back house has private bedrooms for up to 2 persons with shared bathrooms and full kitchen to use. The beach house is made up of private en suite studios oceanfront up to 4 persons. We also offer bikes for rent, snorkel equipment for free and free WiFi and free off street parking.
Reception open 9-5. If checking in after 5 we have special instructions. We will leave key and directions in after hours box at top of stairs by office window

We spent our first night in the dorms. It’s quite dirty, very small rooms with no assigned space for luggage. 2 other guests were there before us and had spread their luggage all over the place. There was nowhere to put ours.
The bed in the dorm was very uncomfortable - so many springs poking out. The plugs to charge our phones where not conveniently placed at all.
We asked to change to a private room, which was available last minute. Much cleaner, adequate space for luggage.

Comfy beds, good kitchen, lots of space to hang out with other guests. 5 minute walk to the beach. 30 minute walk to the grocery store. 5 minute walk to a bunch of restaurants. Quite expensive for a hostel but other than that I have no complaints, good place overall
