Welcome to the Black Forest Hostel in Freiburg. Here, at the valley of a vineyard hill next to a rolling stream travellers can find space and peace as they like. We have a large common space for you to meet other guests and relax.
The hostel is located near the historic part of Freiburg and is easy to reach. 20 minutes walking distance from the main station; or take tram n°1 to `Littenweiler` get out `Oberlinden. 5 minutes walking distance from there.
The Black Forest Hostel offers beds for a good value in dormitories as well as in double and single rooms or triple rooms. Bed linen can be rented for 4.00 EUR per person. Sleeping bags are allowed alternatively.

Cancellation policy: 72 hours before arrival.
Check in from 15:00 to 23:00.
Check out before 11:00.
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards.
This property may pre-authorise your card before arrival.

Reception: 7:00 am bis 01:00am.
No curfew.
Non smoking.
Age restriction: 18+
It is possible to book from 18 years with us.

Unfortunately my stay here was not good, mostly due to one of the other persons staying in the room but there are a few things I would like to note. There are no locks on the doors to the rooms and that there was no working side light or charging point beside the bed in the room I stayed in. These are the absolute basics so it is a shame given how nice the staff were and location of the hostel

Really nice and homey hostel located near the town center and public transit. Comfortable and clean and the staff I interacted with were very friendly.

staff were friendly and rooms were clean. stayed in the 20 bed room which was good because there were only about 10 of there, but i was the only girl in it for my 2nd night which was fine for me but just depends if youre comfortable with that. worked well for me because the female bathrooms were always empty and clean to use. Not much of an atmosphere but its definitely open to it and im sure in the buisier seasons it would be good.
