Sunbird backpackers is located in Entebbe town, about 15 -20 Min from Entebbe International airport, strategically located close to Victoria shopping mall, a short distance away from the beaches on Lake Victoria, the famous Botanical gardens and UWEC.
It’s designed as a dormitory style of accommodation, and they are mixed type of rooms, with shared bathrooms. Camping space is available for those with their own tents.

Great place to check in near Entebbe. Walking distance to botanical gardens, restaurants down near the lakeside, a mall and craft market. I was the only one there when I stayed - plenty of space and felt safe. Staff was very nice and respectful. Breakfast included in cost - and it was delicious! Some bugs in bathroom area and no air conditioning but that is to be expected and not terrible at all.

Stayed on my first night in Uganda here. Staff were lovely and gave me an extra breakfast as I arrived early. However no other guests and only really near a shopping mall. Fine for airport transfer, but as a hostel experience would have preferred viavia had it not been booked up
