Melrose Hostel

Melrose Hostel was established in 2017 with the vision of creating a warm and budget-friendly base from which travelers can experience Los Angeles in elevated comfort, safety, and cleanliness. Located in its geographic center, our hostel is at a convenient distance from different attractions and neighborhoods, including Hollywood, Koreatown, Downtown Los Angeles, the Walk of Fame, The Grove Farmer’s Market, Paramount Studios, and more! Two bus stops found directly outside and across the street connect visitors to the city’s sprawling public transportation system.

Our broad range of offerings include computers for guest use, TV with multiple streaming services, a newly renovated kitchen, pool table, filtered water dispenser, in-room lockers and air purifiers, and the highlight of our hostel, a rooftop patio boasting a view of the Hollywood sign.

In light of recent circumstances, we have adapted our policies and procedures in accordance with recommendations by public health professionals.

- Facial coverings are mandatory within the common areas and all guests and staff are expected to practice social distancing (staying a minimum of 6 feet/2 meters apart).
- Guests checking in are subject to a no-contact temperature screening conducted by staff.
- Towels may be purchased for individual use and will no longer be available for loan.
- The continental breakfast buffet has been replaced with a newly renovated kitchen equipped with a stove.
- Frequency of housekeeping has been increased to twice daily. Computers, pool equipment, and other amenities are sanitized and cleaned after each use.
- Sanitizer is abundantly available throughout the premises.
- A shield has been between installed at the reception desk.
- The card processing fee has been removed to promote no-contact card transactions. Transactions which were previously cash-only may now be made by credit/debit card.
