PTM DownTown is located in the city centre of Portimao and it is the preferred lodging for those looking for a budget friendly, cleaned and comfortable place to stay. It is the perfect place if you wish to either chill or to party!
The centre/ downtown of Portimao, which is known for its local commerce and for its traditional Portuguese restaurants. It is situated 300 mt away from the Colegio dos Jesuitas (a historic site).
All commodities are new and feature a decoration inspired in travelling and decorated with maps. The bar and breakfasts are in the garden. The hostel is dynamic and our staff is friendly who are always at your disposal. All rooms are equipped with air conditioner. Two of them have window and the other two share a common area between the two of them.

This is one of the best deal hostels you can find in Portimao. The owner and caretakers (Sara and Victoria) of the hostel express their concern for the well-being and comfort of the guests by assuring standard cleaning and providing options to secure your belongings. The environment is modern, providing air conditioning to sharp and organized common spaces and in the dormitories. The additional pool and the complimentary breakfast (the restaurant has the same owner) make a nutritious choice.

The pool is such a treat, particularly during hot summer days, and the breakfast from the cafe downstairs is excellent. I also loved the location - close to lots of public transport for day trips around the area.
The rooms are quite spartan - no bed curtains and not enough plugs for the number of beds - and the shared showers/toilets are tiny, could do with a more regular clean and toilet paper check.
There wasn’t much of a vibe and, as a solo traveller, it was hard to meet people.
