The Notso Hostel is located in the historic Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston, South Carolina. We offer a variety of dorm rooms and private rooms at our Main location and a smaller selection of private rooms at our Annex location. We have a 15% surcharge when booking through Hostelworld rather than booking directly through our site. Please note- Taxes are not included in this price.
Included in our nightly rate are: linens and towels, private parking, oatmeal/coffee/tea, and wifi.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel within 48 hours of your reservation arrival date, you will be charged for the first two nights of your stay and the remainder of your reservation will be canceled.

I absolutely loved staying at NotSo Hostel! I stayed at the Annex on Cannon St. and it was the perfect distance to parts of downtown, and walking distance to some cool spots in the city overall. I would definitely visit again. If you/you and your friend/loved one/etc. need a place to stay in Charleston and don't mind being in a house with others, this is the place to go.

Anna was absolutely lovely, kind, empathetic, and accommodating. The facility manager Vicky was a poor communicator, didn’t call back or text back, and truly left so much to be desired from a Hostel Manager who lives on-site. The employee Bailey is truly rude and condescending and scoffed at my Service Animal and practically shoved him out of the way when the Service Animal was walking down the steps towards her. The facility has very poor indoor lighting at night, and there is a HOLE in the

Notso Hostel is a great value - good location in Charleston. My stay was very comfortable. I met a number of friendly guests. I had my own room - the outside balcony and front porch are quite comfortable as well.
