Morada Hostel

Our experience at Morada was sadly ruined by a disrespectful employee who prioritised partying alone with one guest over his other guests’ ability to sleep. If you like loud regatón outside your room at 2am in the morning, this hostel is for you. We returned to the hostel at 11pm and texted the WhatsApp number to ask when the music would be turned down to which a staff member replied it would be 12pm. We thought that this was reasonable and were happy to wait until then to go to sleep. However this time came and went and there was no sign of the music stopping. We messaged again to which the response was that they would turn it off when the guests went out. After waiting more time, we then messaged again to which the WhatsApp number stopped replying and the music continued on. It took one of us going outside and asking in person for the music to stop. One other guest who had the music on nearly full volume. This showed a complete lack of respect to guests who were trying to sleep on the rooftop of the hostel (of which the door to the dormitory did not close btw) and was probably one of the worst hostel experiences that I have ever had. It was not only this but the experience but the fact that the bathrooms did not have any divide between the showers and the toilets which meant that the whole bathroom would be soaking after someone took a shower, making the bathrooms pretty disgusting very easily. This hostel is very run down - the beds may as well have no mattresses as it feels like you are sleeping on the slats and the “ladders” may as well not be called such because they are so flimsy and not attached to the beds, making them difficult to use and unsafe. I feel sorry for writing this review due to the 2 other staff members who were really kind and helpful, but the owner needs a reality check and should own a club irresponsible and disrespectful. I would not recommend staying here.
